Although we remain a small family business, our skills, interests, and experience have expanded over the years to cover a broad range of design and construction work. We are best known locally for our small to medium-sized garden schemes, but we also excel in designing and constructing garden buildings, summer houses, and garden-room house extensions. Occasionally, we undertake larger-scale home renovation projects and new homes complete with garden surrounds.

Our team is highly experienced in horticulture and landscape technology, specialising in garden design. We have extensive expertise in designing extensions and new buildings, bringing a wealth of experience in architecture and building design.

We are a design and contracting business serving Hertfordshire & further afield. We offer a comprehensive service, managing everything in-house from initial consultation to project completion.

While we are well-known for the gardens we design and build, we also undertake projects that integrate our clients’ homes with their outdoor spaces. Our focus is on seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor areas, creating a harmonious connection between the two. We have a particular interest in crossing these boundaries with complementary designs, effectively bringing the outdoors inside.

The first stage involves arranging an informal visit to meet you, review your existing house and garden spaces, and discuss your goals. This stage is free of cost and commitment, allowing for an open exchange of ideas to understand your vision and how we can assist.

Following this, we provide some initial thoughts on what we can offer, including an outline of potential cost structures and fees involved.

Our design process begins with surveying the area and drawing up plans to illustrate ideas and options, helping to discuss budget alternatives. Our small team of designers possess skills in architectural and interior design, as well as landscaping and garden design, for which we are well-known. Initial design work fees typically range from £150 to £400 plus VAT for smaller garden schemes, with higher costs for more complex projects.

For larger or more complex projects requiring planning or listed building consents, we manage all necessary professional services and work with you to agree on fees and costs.

We also offer a design-only service for clients who need help with initial design ideas or a completed garden design for others to construct.

Full quotations, detailing quantities and costs based on our design work, can usually be provided within a week at no additional charge. Once the design and costing phase is complete, we schedule the work. Larger schemes are often phased, while smaller projects are typically done in one go. We agree on a start date and timeline for completion.

A dedicated project manager oversees all projects, supported by highly skilled teams handling everything from full house builds to home extensions, renovations, and landscaping. We take great pride in ensuring our work is completed to a high standard.
